Civitavecchia was the first stop on our cruise. It is the seaside port town that is closest to Rome. Cassio and I had both been to Rome twice before and felt that spending the day travelling back and forth in the train just to line up with crowds too see the Vatican again wasn't worth it. Instead we opted to walk around and spent a lovely day exploring close to shore.
